Happy Birthday Lynn

I made this birthday card for my sweet, long distance friend, Lynn. Since I know that she received it, I can now post it. She and I met on the Cricut message board at least two years ago, and we've been emailing each other almost daily since. I treasure her friendship. Happy Birthday again Lynn!

Thank You Cards

These are a couple of thank you cards I made today for my wonderful church family that helped with the wedding. I made two more, but didn't take pictures of them.

Anniversary Card for my Parents

My parents will be celebrating their 53rd anniversary on Tuesday. This is the card I made for them, using their monogram. Hope you like it. The "B" and background are from the Cricut Storbyook cartridge.

You Are So Sweet!

I made this thank you card for some of my wonderful friends, who were so kind to me during my daughter's wedding. They made all of the veggies (potatoes, green beans, and baked apples) for the wedding -- enough to feed 270 people! They are such blessings to me!

Goin' to the Chapel . . .

Yep, we went to the chapel, and my youngest daughter is now married. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous, if I say so myself. These are pictures I took at her bridal portrait session in February. The ones the photographer took of course show her looking at the camera.

Of course we only have a few pictures from the wedding because the photographer's photos won't be available for a few weeks. My oldest daughter's mother-in-law took a few and emailed these to me.

These are my two beautiful daughters, along with their husbands. I've told my first son-in-law, Joey (on the right) that he now has competition, so maybe now both of them will try to get brownie points with me! Ha!

My beautiful daughters. I couldn't love them more!

This is my sweet, sweet sister with my granddaughter, Ashlyn (who of course was the flower girl) at the wedding.

My little punkin -- she was so adorable!

Two Cards I Made Today

The first card I made today is one for my aunt who was diagnosed this week with stage 3 throat cancer. I talked to her on the phone yesterday for about an hour, and she told me she wasn't going to cry, that she was going to laugh. I wanted her to know that I'm here for her and praying for her, but I didn't want to make a sappy card, so this is what I came up with. I found the picture on the internet.

If you're a praying person, please say a prayer for her. She's got a tough road ahead. Her name is Vicki.

This card is for a much happier occasion. My husband's nephew and his wife are welcoming a new baby girl in April. Her name is Kamryn Paige.

Let me introduce you to my soon to arrive grandson . . .

Some of you may remember that my oldest daughter lost a baby in April of last year at 13 weeks. We were so devastated. That baby girl, who they named Caroline, will forever be in our hearts. Because of that situation, I have been hesitant to post about my daughter's current pregnancy. But, she had a sonogram yesterday at 15 weeks (a little early, but according to the doctor, for her peace of mind), and we found out that they are having a little boy! We are so thrilled. In fact, my son-in-law's Mom and I both jumped out of our chairs! We were beginning to think they were not going to be able to tell us the sex of the baby, but suddenly, after Mommy coaxed him to show us, we were able to see that he's a little boy. The only person who is not happy is my granddaughter, Ashlyn. She said, "No! It's a baby sister! I don't like boys!" I'm sure she will get used to the idea and love him, even if he is a boy. :o)

Here are a few pictures of our little man!

Today is my oldest daughter's birthday. I made this card for her. I can hardly believe she is already 28. What a precious daughter she is, and such a blessing!

Thank You Card

I made this card to give to my sweet, sweet friends from church. There were at least 7 of them that helped with my daughter's bridal shower.

Pray for Jonah

I received an email today asking for prayer for this beautiful baby boy. I decided to put this on my blog. Please pray for this precious little one.

Bridal Shower Card

My youngest daughter is getting married in a few weeks, and her last shower is today. I made this card for her. I still need to write on the inside, but I've put it off because I don't want to cry anymore! I will miss her when she's gone! Empty nest = dirty words!

Happy Birthday David!

Well, his birthday was actually Friday, but I have been so busy that I didn't get a chance to post his card or a big birthday wish for him here. (He's checks in here occasionally.) David is a co-worker who gives the best hugs!I sure hope he had a great birthday.
Here's his card.

Thank You Card for Bill

I made this simple card for a wonderful man who allowed us to take my daughter's bridal portraits at his beautiful home. The house is at least 6000 SF, and he lives there alone. My soon-to-be son-in-law and his father built this house, and we knew it would be a great setting for the portraits, and it was. Anyway, this man loves horses (he has 31), so what better way to say "thank you" than put a horse on his card. I hope he likes it.

Sleep Tight, Little One

Believe it or not, I found a little time this weekend to create something for eBay. I did this and also helped my daughter make almost 300 menus for her upcoming wedding. Oh, the fun is just getting started (the wedding is March 21st).

I am pleased with how this layout turned out. Hopefully, there's someone out in eBay land that wants to buy it!

So Many Gifts -- So Little Time

I had lots of photos of Ashlyn opening gifts at Christmas (2007). I knew I needed to do a 2 page layout, but instead cut the empty space from the photos and did a one pager. I used SCAL to cut So Many and Gifts. I used a Cuttlebug alphabet -- Baby Face for "so little time." It was the only thing small enough to fit, and it's come in handy lots for that reason.

Hope you like it!
