So, here it is! I used the Learning Curve Cricut cartridge for the "Well Done," and Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Cartridge for the graduation cap. The blue stars are punches. I apologize that the verse is blurred. This was the only picture I took!

Hope you are inspired.
A few times lately I have wanted to post a card, but when it came down to finding a picture, cropping it, putting the watermark on, working on the colors, etc., I was just too lazy. When I happened to run across this one on my computer, I really wanted to take the time to post it because it was made last summer for a dear friend, who has since passed away. How sad I was when I found it. But I was happy to make it and give it to her. She was a special lady to many of us, and I miss her to this day! I worked with her for 25 years. That's a long time folks! I miss you Pat!
I am sharing with you the anniversary card I made for my parents earlier this year. I used many of my Spellbinders dies on this one, but of course you could use the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for many of the cuts, and the heart from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge would work great for the heart!
If anyone missed me, you have my sincere thanks! It seems life has gotten in the way, and I have not had any motivation to take the time to post on my blog. I have definitely still been crafting though.

This is a card I made several months ago for my daughter's birthday. The picture is awful! I could not get the colors right with my camera, and then when I tried to fix the colors using software, it just kept getting worse. It was a pretty card though! LOL.
She has had a lumpectomy, and her lymph nodes are clear. Praise the Lord! So, as I recently told her, "You and God got this!" LOL. Here is the card I made for her.

I may not have great details on this card, but I assume most people just come here to look anyway. If you need specifics, just comment and let me know. I will find more instructions and post them.

Thanks for looking!
I have been meaning to share this card for several months. It was a fun card to make for someone who had surgery on their foot. Their job is related to trying to collect from folks who owe money. It was fun to find an image that worked well for the situation! For some reason, I failed to write down sizes for this card, so the listings below are estimates.

Happy Wednesday everyone. I am sharing with you the card I made for my sweet mother-in-law back in February. If you have read my blog before when I've posted cards made for her, you know that she loves red and black. So, of course, she almost always gets a card with red and black on it. Here are the details of this card:

I Miss You!

This is a simple card I made a month or so for someone I was missing! I didn't know about the color combo at first, but then decided I liked it! Hope you like it as well. Here are the details:

Size: 4" x 5 1/2"

"Just Because:" Cuttlebug embossing folder (I am so glad I purchased these many years ago. They come in handy in a pinch, and are so easy!)

Flowers: Punches for the leaves, flower, and center circle. I also ran the flowers and centers through my Cuttlebug to emboss.

Cloud: Fiskars punch

The wavy lines for the fields of grass were cut using my Creative Memories wavy cutter -- another oldie but goodie!

He showed up at her door as a puppy 13 years ago, and boy was he lucky! No where could he have been loved more. Thus, his name became Lucky. This is the card I made for her after his death. Here are the details:

Size 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Card shape: Folk Art Festival Cricut cartridge cut at 5 1/4". The white layer was cut from that cartridge as well at 5"
Dog: (I know it's not a German Shepherd, but it was the only dog I could find with pointed ears that looked similar) Paper Pups Cricut cartridge cut at 3"
Halo: Don Juan Cricut cartridge cut at 3/4"
Clouds: Fiskars punch
Scalloped circle: Spellbinders Nestabilities die
Flower: Petaloo (my neighbor gave me these as a birthday gift.)
Sentiment: Computer generated and cut using a Spellbinders tag die
The inside sentiment: "(And I sure hope they do because heaven will be a much better place with them), I am sure that Lucky will be waiting for you at the pearly gates, doing figure eights." (This is probably not exact, but it's close to the sentiment. Lucky used to do figure eights in his lot several years ago. For hours, he would go round and round. It kept him slim and trim!)

Thanks for looking.
I am sharing with you today the birthday card I recently made and sent to my wonderful father-in-law. He and I have always had a great relationship. He's one of those people that you can't help but love! Here are the details of the card:

Size: A2
Card Stock: Bazzill; Core'dinations
Embossing: Cuttlebug
I used a 2 1/4" circle punch for the circle and used the negative cut. I then cut the octagon by using the George Cricut cartridge cut at 2 1/2" using the silhouette function. I placed it on pop-up dots over the circle cut out.
Owl and branch: Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge (one of my favorites) cut at 2"
Stars: Punch
Sentiment: Computer generated
I also used a Fiskars upper crest border punch for the background behind the sentiment.
The inside sentiment said something to the effect of: "Well, maybe just older. Happy birthday!"

Hope you like it. If you comment, please accept my gratitude!
These are the simple gift card holders that I made for my daughters and their husbands. I always give them a little something for Valentine's Day. These are definitely not fancy, but I literally made them with just a few minutes of spare time.

Here are the details:

Card Stock: Core'dinations and American Crafts
I used a Spellbinders label that I had cut and ended up not using. I looked at it and wondered if it was big enough to put a gift card inside, and it sure was! It's the largest of the Nestabilities for this label. I folded it and scored it and then cut another label, cut that one in half (well, obviously a little less than half), and used it to glue on the bottom inside half to hold the gift card. I used a circle punch to make a notch for the gift card to peek out.

On the outside, I used a scalloped circle punch and the Martha Stewart heart punch to add a little something and also added a computer generated sentiment and little punched hearts. So simple. But cute!

Hope you like them. And thanks for taking the time to comment!
Where do the weekends go?!? This weekend was a great one for me. My family was here on Sunday, and we celebrated my birthday. What a blessed day it is when they are all here.

Today I am sharing the Valentine's Day card I made for our granddaughter. I hope to share with you this week a few more Valentine's Day things I made on Saturday. I am usually months behind, but I thought I'd go ahead and post these things now. Here are the details:

Size: 5"x7"
Card Stock: Recollections; Core'dinations; American Crafts
Patterned paper: Wow. That paper is old. I am not sure. I am guessing that I have had it for at least 5 years.
Love Banner: I broke down and spent birthday money from last year (yes, I saved it for a year almost) and bought the Stampin' Up Pennant punch set. It's really neat! I printed the letters on my computer and then punched them. The hearts are a punch.
Girl and dog silhouette: A Child's Year Cricut cartridge cut at 3 1/2"
Scalloped circle: Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Die (the smallest one). I then embossed it using my Cuttlebug.
I used my Bow Easy to make the bow and added a mini rose from I Am Roses.

I think that's it! I hope you like it. Thanks if you take the time to leave a comment. The folks that take that time are few and far between. As those of you know who blog, it sure is tough to see that 150 visitors have been to your blog, and not one has left a comment.

Check out all of the neat hearts and cupids over at Bitten By The Bug 2. I've entered my card in the challenge. Want to join?
But hopefully someone will find some inspiration in this card I made for my in-laws. Here are the details:

Size: Approx. 5" x 7" Tri-Fold (I used two 12" x 5" pieces of card stock, which were offset and glued together to make this card, leaving a one inch section to overhang at the end. -- See first picture below.)
Card Stock: Wausau Papers; Bazzill; American Crafts
Patterned paper: DCWV (This is an old Christmas stack as I recall.)
Nativity: Inspired Heart Cricut Cartridge cut at 4"
Scalloped Border with Holes: EK Success border punch
Ribbon: Unknown
Star: Joys of the Seasons Cricut Cartridge cut at 2 1/4"
Joy: Joys of the Seasons Cricut Cartridge cut at 2" layered on a paper doily
Gems: Queen & Co.
There's nothing special about the inside -- I just used some punches to make a place to hold some money.

I am sharing an encouragement card I made several months ago for a lady at my daughter's church who has started a speaking ministry. Her theme is always around butterflies, so of course I had to find a butterfly for her card. And this sentiment was perfect as a way of encouraging her. Here are the details:

Size: 5"x7"
Card Stock: Bazzill, American Crafts
Patterned Papers: Recollection
Sentiment/Butterfly: Straight From The Nest Cricut cartridge cut at 4 1/2"
Pink Scallop: Bazzill Just The Edge
Flower: Prima??

Thanks for looking, and I hope it inspires someone! Also, thanks for taking the time to comment.

Have a great weekend!
I am sharing today a birthday card I made for a dear friend a month or so ago. She loves bright colors and bling. Can't you tell from the card? LOL. My inspiration came from a card on Pinterest with gems on it that said, "You Sparkle." Here are the details of the card:

Size: 5 1/8" x 6 1/8"

Card Stock: American Crafts, Bazzill

Embossing folder: I'm not sure. It doesn't have a manufacturer name on it. I thought it was Darice, but I can't seem to find it online. (You can barely see the embossing in the photo anyway.)

I hope you are staying warm, or if you have a warm climate right now, I am so jealous! We just had our first snow of the year, about an inch or so. That's enough for me! I'm ready for spring already! LOL.

I finished a Bible study back in the fall, and am now facilitating my very first Bible study. In fact, I am facilitating two at once! One of the things the facilitator of our first Bible study did was assign someone for us to pray for. I am sharing today the card I made for my prayer recipient. She is a sweet lady, inside and out! Here are the details:

Size: A2
Card Stock: American Crafts
Embossing: Cuttlebug
Flowers: Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge cut at 4 1/4" and 4 3/4"
Leaves: Spellbinders die
Scalloped oval punch: Marvy Uchida and layered on top of a Stampin' Up label punch
Ribbon: Unknown
Scalloped Edge: Spellbinders die

I am entering this into the "Use a Flower" challenge at Little Scrap Pieces. Here is a link to the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You just made my day!
