Our design team at eBay is really buzzing this week! We have the charity event, plus we are also doing a Top Ten Event. We've taken the 10 most searched for items in scrapbooking and tried to create things for each of the ten items. Some of the gals got 10 items done. I've only done 4. With the events in my family earlier this month, plus working full time, I knew I couldn't get ten done. I had hoped for 5, and I may get another one done to list on Tuesday, or that's my hope! I hope you'll check these out!

Charity Auction

The design team I'm on over at eBay is doing a charity event this week, with all of the proceeds going to benefit the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. The Foundation grants wishes to terminally ill breast cancer patients, plus gives support and other resources. I hope you'll check these auctions out, and maybe even consider bidding on these great items!

Hope Sympathy Card

I made this card for a friend on a message board, whose sister just passed away. Since I know that she received it, I thought I'd post it here. The inside message was about hope as well. I can't remember the exact words though!

A Special Wish . . .

My very nice boss is celebrating his birthday today. I made this quick card for him last night. I had intended to make brownies to take to work today, and my family ended up eating them! Thank goodness there were a few left, so I can at least take him one! TFL.

There Could Never Be Another You

I have posted a paper bag album on eBay. It really did turn out cute. It would make an awesome Mother's Day gift, birthday gift, or gift for any day.

I hope you'll check it out! Here are a couple of pictures, but not all.

Also, my eBay design team, Memories Made Timeless Boutique, is planning an awesome event. I'll post more info as the time approaches!

A Birthday Card for Lynn

I've made lots of friends on a scrapbooking message board, and a few of them have really become special to me. Lynn is one of them. Her birthday was at the end of March, and although I had ordered part of her gift, it didn't come until a week after her birthday. I just got her gift out in the mail this week, and it arrived safe and sound today. So, I decided to post a picture of the card I made for her. The inside says: "Is a gift. Happy Birthday Friend."

Finally, A New eBay Layout!

This layout has been laying on the scrapbook table for well over a week. With the events of last week, I just wasn't into scrapbooking at all. But, I did finally finish it on Sunday night, but didn't get pictures taken until tonight.

Hope you like it and will check it out!

A Quick Sympathy Card

I made this sympathy card for a co-worker. It's pretty simple, but I liked the colors!

Hope you like it as well.

A Sad Day for my Family

I hesitated to post this because sometimes these things are hard to talk about, and I know that there's enough sadness in the world today without going to a blog to see scrapbook pages and cards, only to find more. But, since I needed to change my profile, I felt I needed to put a post here about this. My oldest daughter, who was expecting in October, has lost her baby at 12 weeks. She had called me yesterday morning to say she thought there was a problem with the amniotic fluid (she thought she was losing fluid). Of course she was distraught. She had called the doctor, who told her to make an appointment when the office opened. I met her and my son-in-law at the doctor's office at 9:15. We finally saw the doctor at 10:30 or so, who didn't even realize what she was there for. She thought it was a regular checkup. She ran back out to get an assistant and the small sonogram machine they called "grandma." She seemed encouraged and said that the fluid was intact but quickly sent us to have a full sonogram done. I thought all was well and called a few people to tell them that. But, when we went for the full sonogram, the doctor told us that there were two concerns: 1-the baby's bladder never developed properly and when it started to produce fluids, they had no way to leave the baby's body. He showed us on the sonogram that the baby's bladder was extended. 2-they could not find a heartbeat. When he said that, of course my daughter started sobbing. (And Mom did too.) The first thing my daughter said after the doctor left was that God took this baby to heaven because it was not perfect. Our faith is strong, but our hearts are broken for this sweet baby, who we'll have to postpone meeting until we get to heaven. In my mind, I will always remember seeing those perfect little hands in the sonogram picture. If you're a praying person, I ask that you say a little prayer for us -- especially my daughter and son-in-law. There will be some tough days ahead. We thank God for Ashlyn though. We know that God has already given them a beautiful child, and we have faith that He will give them another one someday.

Play All Day!

I loved these pictures of Ashlyn at the beach. She only THOUGHT she could play all day. Every day she would get so tired, and try as she might, she just couldn't stay awake. Here she was trying to draw, but sleep took over.

Two New Birthday Cards

I made two new cards tonight. The first is for a co-worker who loves to shop. I think she will appreciate and like this card -- it's SO her! I put her initial on the purse, and the inside will say, "Have Birthday Cash -- Will Shop!"

I also made a card for my best friend from high school (which was 30 years ago). She sent me a card for my birthday last month, so I wanted to make one for her. I love these flowers! Hope she will like the card. The inside will say, "Happy Birthday Old Friend!"

Two New eBay Layouts

I have a new eBay layout -- inspired by my A Moment Becomes A Memory layout (see post from a week or so ago here on my blog). In fact, at the recommendation of someone on my design team, I put my layout on my auction to show where the inspiration came from!

And here is my other new eBay layout -- I've had this title for some time and just now got around to making a boy layout with it!

And The Beat Goes On

I love these pictures of Ashlyn playing the chopsticks last year at a Japanese Restaurant at the beach. She was so serious about it! Who knows -- her Daddy plays guitar -- maybe she'll be a drummer!

HAPPY EASTER!

As we celebrate the risen Savior and enjoy the candy of the Easter Bunny, I just wanted to say, "Happy Easter" to everyone visiting my blog today!

Good Friday

Being a Christian, Good Friday is the day that we remember the fact that Jesus died on the cross. I participated in a Cross Walk this morning, my first ever. A local teenager planned this walk as his senior project for high school. I heard about it on a local radio station, and since the church was only minutes from my house, I decided that it was something I wanted to participate in. So, off I went to the Cross Walk this morning. I had mentioned it to a friend, and she and a few others from our church met me there. There were between 150-200 people that participated. Here are a few of the pictures I took this morning. It was a 1.5 mile walk, with different people carrying the cross along the way. We stopped 5-6 times and read Bible verses, and had prayer. At the end of the walk, the crossed was placed in a church cemetery. Just after we arrived at our destination, someone yelled, "Look up at the sky -- there's a cross!" What an awesome sight! God is good.
