Play All Day!

I loved these pictures of Ashlyn at the beach. She only THOUGHT she could play all day. Every day she would get so tired, and try as she might, she just couldn't stay awake. Here she was trying to draw, but sleep took over.

Two New Birthday Cards

I made two new cards tonight. The first is for a co-worker who loves to shop. I think she will appreciate and like this card -- it's SO her! I put her initial on the purse, and the inside will say, "Have Birthday Cash -- Will Shop!"

I also made a card for my best friend from high school (which was 30 years ago). She sent me a card for my birthday last month, so I wanted to make one for her. I love these flowers! Hope she will like the card. The inside will say, "Happy Birthday Old Friend!"

Two New eBay Layouts

I have a new eBay layout -- inspired by my A Moment Becomes A Memory layout (see post from a week or so ago here on my blog). In fact, at the recommendation of someone on my design team, I put my layout on my auction to show where the inspiration came from!

And here is my other new eBay layout -- I've had this title for some time and just now got around to making a boy layout with it!

And The Beat Goes On

I love these pictures of Ashlyn playing the chopsticks last year at a Japanese Restaurant at the beach. She was so serious about it! Who knows -- her Daddy plays guitar -- maybe she'll be a drummer!

HAPPY EASTER!

As we celebrate the risen Savior and enjoy the candy of the Easter Bunny, I just wanted to say, "Happy Easter" to everyone visiting my blog today!

Good Friday

Being a Christian, Good Friday is the day that we remember the fact that Jesus died on the cross. I participated in a Cross Walk this morning, my first ever. A local teenager planned this walk as his senior project for high school. I heard about it on a local radio station, and since the church was only minutes from my house, I decided that it was something I wanted to participate in. So, off I went to the Cross Walk this morning. I had mentioned it to a friend, and she and a few others from our church met me there. There were between 150-200 people that participated. Here are a few of the pictures I took this morning. It was a 1.5 mile walk, with different people carrying the cross along the way. We stopped 5-6 times and read Bible verses, and had prayer. At the end of the walk, the crossed was placed in a church cemetery. Just after we arrived at our destination, someone yelled, "Look up at the sky -- there's a cross!" What an awesome sight! God is good.

Get Well Card and U Are . . . Card

I made two cards last night -- one for my daughter's boyfriend's Mom who had surgery last week, and the other for a dear friend who has been such a blessing to me. When we moved here 20 years ago, I had no family here. But God gave me two sisters here (in addition to the sister I have back home). Of course I have a few other very special friends (one who I'm blessed to have as a friend AND a neighbor) too.

Here is the story (really a book) about the first card. The card is for one of my friends who has blessed me twice (at least) in the past month or so. Two examples: We met at the mall a month or so ago for dinner to celebrate my birthday, along with two other friends. She and I decided to do a little shopping after dinner but got separated. I got ready to come out of the mall an hour later, and she is sitting in her vehicle outside the door waiting for me. She had been trying to call me but my phone was on vibrate and I didn't get the call. She wouldn't leave the mall until I did because it was dark, and she didn't want me to walk to my car alone after dark. She knew I was still there because she had seen my car in the parking lot. Then last night, I needed to make a cake for a funeral at our church, and I was going to have to drive 10 minutes out of my way this morning to take the cake and leave it in our fellowship hall before going to work, which really added at least 25 minutes to my commute. She called me last night because she was at the funeral home (which is 2 minutes from my house) to see if I had the cake ready. It was still in the oven. She came by my house and took the hot cake home with her and iced it for me (I had the icing made and ready for the cake) and took it to the fellowship hall when she took her dessert, just so I didn't have to go so far out of my way. Now is that a blessing or what. These are just the tip of the iceberg as to what she has done for me. She and another friend fixed all of the food for my daughter's wedding 6 years ago -- a sit down dinner for 300 people! I could cry just thinking about everything she has done for me. So, I decided to make this card for her. The inside of the card will say:

Are:

A blessing from God
An angel in disguise
A true friend
A sister with a different last name

Slide Into Spring

This layout was inspired by the layout I did for Ashlyn's book a few months ago. I thought others would like to have a layout for their kids' pictures while playing outside. This one is posted on eBay now. Wish me luck.

1 Year of Love

I love these pictures of Whitney and Jordan on their one year anniversary. I think I have a beautiful daughter, and Jordan is quite a handsome fella! I think these would make great engagement photos! ;o)

Not sure I love this layout -- it's just too busy or something.

A Moment Becomes a Memory

I love, love, love these pictures of Rick and Ashlyn. And the layout doesn't do justice to the photos! I still need to do my journaling but haven't decided whether to do a bookplate or strip journaling.
This was just one of those moments that you're snapping pictures, and then something great happens -- a kiss! These two have a bond that can't be broken. She definitely has him wrapped around her little finger.

A Splashin' Good Time

These pictures were taken last year at the beach. I think I took over 250 pictures in one week. I need to stop -- but I can't -- I love pictures! So, I used just a few for this pool layout. Hope you like it!

I did this set of die cuts for a wedding page:

Courtney is 27!

Wow -- that's hard for me to say, and it's even harder for me to believe! I still remember (like yesterday) asking the nurse when she was going to bring her to me (I asked at least 5 times) the night she was born. I had an emergency c-section and had only gotten to see her through the nursery window. Finally, at 4:30 in the morning, they brought her to me. I remember seeing the little stork bite birthmark on her eyelid and touching it and telling her how much I loved her and how she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. (Good grief, I'm going to cry!). She is just as sweet, beautiful, and special now as she was then. No, that's wrong. . . . she's even more sweet, beautiful and special! Of course, I have stories like this about my sweet Whitney as well. I'll save those for her birthday in August! Here is the card I made for Courtney's birthday.

SO LOVED

This altered frame was done for an Arts Council campaign at work. I couldn't think of anything to create, so this is what I came up with this weekend. I hope someone will want it. (It will be given to someone who donates money to the Arts Council. Their names are drawn out of a hat.) I can always take it back (since my granddaughter's picture looks so sweet in it).

Social Butterfly

Here's my latest Ebay creation. It's so darn cute! I hate to sound like I'm bragging, but I am pleased with how it turned out.

Wish me luck, and go check it out!
