Picture Perfect Memories

I found time to do a scrapbook page -- woo hoo!  These pictures have been laying on my table for months, so I am excited to get these pages done.  And it's nice to do a two page layout again.  These pictures are from our Daytona Beach trip in May of 2008.  I have two more layouts to do from that trip.  It's taken me forever to get them done!

I like the bright colors of this layout.  Love these papers!

Fancy photo corners -- Sweethearts Cricut cartridge.
Scalloped square background behind pictures -- Storybook Cricut cartridge
Cartoche (as it is called in the handbook) (2 shapes that the title is on) -- Sweethearts Cricut cartridge
Picture Perfect -- Base Camp Cricut cartridge
memories -- Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge
Flourishes behind big flower -- Sizzix dies

You're Not Getting Older -- Another Easel Card!

I think I'm officially hooked on easel cards now.  I know they are nothing new, but they are new to me.  I think they are so cute!  The only bad thing is that I don't think I can get a good picture of them.  This is one I made for my boss who is celebrating his birthday today.  I cut the owl and branch from the Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge.  Can't you tell that I love it?

Hope you like the card.  Click on the pictures for a better view.

You Are Fab at 50 Easel Birthday Card

This is my first easel card.  I have been wanting to make one for a long time, but never took the time to do it.  So, I decided on Saturday that this would be a good time to try it.  I am in love!  They are adorable!  This one measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4."  It was made for a sweet co-worker who turned 50 yesterday.  The Cricut cuts on this one are as follows:

FAB, Birdie and Happy Birthday -- All from Cricut Create-A-Critter
Scalloped Square Background on front -- Storybook
50 -- Plantin Schoolbook
"You Are" and "At" -- Computer generated
Butterfly -- Punch
Backgrounds behind the "50" -- Punches

TFL!

May Your Heart Find Comfort Sympathy Card

I made this sympathy card for a co-worker of my husband whose father passed away several weeks ago.  It's been on my list of cards to make, so I'm glad it's done, but I have to say it's not my favorite.  I struggled with it for some reason!

I used the Martha Stewart heart punch and my Cricut to cut the circle behind it.  The flower was in my stash.  It was a JoAnn's brand flower.  The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch as well.

The inside says, "In knowing that others care and are praying for you.  With Our Sympathy."

I hope you like it (more than I do - HA!).

Look Closely (Get Well Card)

I made this simple, fun card for a guy in our Sunday School class who is having cataract surgery this week. Since he hasn't been able to see well for months, this is supposed to be humorous! The inside says, "and you will see how much we care. Hope you're seeing better already!"

The eyes and "look closely" are both from the Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge.

Faith

My son-in-law's grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer a few weeks ago and has begun taking chemo treatments.  My daughter asked me to make a card for him because when they went for a visit last weekend, she said she saw him pick up the cards people had sent him and read them several times.  Hopefully, this card will lift his spirits and let him know we are praying for him.

Faith -- Home Accents
Green scalloped background -- Nestabilities Label 6
Yellow scalloped octagon -- Nestabilities (embossed with Cuttlebug argyle folder)

The inside says:  "Faith is putting all your eggs in God's basket, then counting your blessings before they hatch.   ~Ramona C. Carroll

May God give you faith to overcome the battle, and blessings to celebrate around every turn.   We’re praying for you."

Hope you like it!  Click on the picture for a better look.

And for those of you who are Christians, hope you're having a blessed Easter.  He is risen!
