Inspired by a song . . .

Pocket Full of Papers is having a challenge this week.  The challenge is set to begin tomorrow, February 1st.  I went ahead and listed my album tonight.  I hope you'll check it out and the song that inspired it.  The album is cut out of chipboard in the shape of a tag from the Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge.  The font for the word "Hero" is from the Cricut Storybook cartridge.

Here are just a couple of pictures.  Click here to go to the auction.

This is the day . . . (Sympathy Card)

A very sweet friend's husband passed away earlier this month, and this is the card I made to send to her. I used a calendar template I found on SplitCoastStampers.

The inside says, "Another angel earned his wings. Sending love, hugs and prayers."

The oval and scalloped ovals are punches.
The flourish is from the Storybook Cricut cartridge.
The flower edging is a Martha Stewart border punch.

Hope you like it.

Holy Cow Birthday Card

I made this card for my son-in-law's 30th birthday.  I gave it to him last night, so now I can post it.  I had to give him a hard time about having a birthday with a zero at the end.

The inside says, "We 'herd' you were turning the big 3-0! Happy Birthday!"

The cow is from the From my Kitchen Cricut cartridge.  The font is Lyrical Letters (Cricut cartridge as well).  The silhouette circle is from the good old George cartridge, and the photo corners are Cuttlebug.

Miss Me?

I sure hope you do!  I was out of town last weekend, and for the life of me, I haven't been able to get into the scrapbook room in over a week . . . until tonight.  I will have a birthday card to post in a couple of days.  It's for my son-in-law who is turning 30 this week.  I have to wait until I give the card to him, and then I'll post it.   Stay tuned!

Earth's Loss Sympathy Card

This is the first of several sympathy cards I need to make in the next few days.  They are definitely hard to make because you want them to convey your true feelings of sympathy.

I used the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge for the scalloped octagon shape, as well as Paper Dolls Dress Up for the tree.

The inside says, "Is Heaven's Gain."

Hope you like it.

Flying High

I took this picture of my granddaughter when we flew to Daytona Beach last year.  She's actually studying the survival guide -- how cute is that.  It's not like me to put one photo on a layout, but since this was the only picture I took, it worked well on a layout by itself.

I used my Cricut a lot on this one, plus some Jolee's stickers for the branches/flowers and several Martha Stewart punches.  I love them!
