Shopper's Birthday Card

This was my sister's birthday card.  That girl can shop!  Granted, she lives in a small town and has no where to shop, but she can shop on the internet and when she travels.  LOL.  Hope you like it.

Happy Anniversary

Hello all.  I am sharing with you the anniversary card I made for my parents earlier this year.  I used many of my Spellbinders dies on this one, but of course you could use the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for many of the cuts, and the heart from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge would work great for the heart!

Thanks for looking and for commenting.

In The Sweet By and By Sympathy Card

I made this sympathy card several months ago for the husband of a friend whose father passed away.  I can't recall the exact sentiment that was on the inside, but it was something to the effect of seeing our loved ones again in heaven.  If you would like details, please let me know.

Thanks so much!

Birthday Card for My Oldest Daughter

Hello everyone.  If anyone missed me, you have my sincere thanks!  It seems life has gotten in the way, and I have not had any motivation to take the time to post on my blog.  I have definitely still been crafting though.

This is a card I made several months ago for my daughter's birthday.  The picture is awful!  I could not get the colors right with my camera, and then when I tried to fix the colors using software, it just kept getting worse.  It was a pretty card though!  LOL.

Card Stock:  Core'dinations
Floral background:  Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge cut at 5"
Flower:  Paisley Cricut cartridge cut at 1 1/4" to 3" (cut at 1/4" intervals)
Vine:  Sizzix die

Happy Birthday:  Elizabeth Crafts Die

Breast Cancer Praying For You

When I found out that a friend had been diagnosed with breast cancer recently, I wanted to encourage her, so I headed to my scrapbook room to make this card.  She has had a lumpectomy, and her lymph nodes are clear.  Praise the Lord!  So, as I recently told her, "You and God got this!"  LOL.  Here is the card I made for her.

I may not have great details on this card, but I assume most people just come here to look anyway.  If you need specifics, just comment and let me know.  I will find more instructions and post them.

Thanks for looking!

I Promise

I have been meaning to share this card for several months.  It was a fun card to make for someone who had surgery on their foot.  Their job is related to trying to collect from folks who owe money. It was fun to find an image that worked well for the situation!  For some reason, I failed to write down sizes for this card, so the listings below are estimates.

Here are the details:

Size:  A2
Card Stock:  Recollections
Patterned Paper:  Unknown (possibly My Mind's Eye)
Girl with Broker Leg:  Dr. Checkup Cricut cartridge cut at 4 1/2"
Label:  Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge cut at 5 1/4"
Conversation cut:  Paper Shapers Punch
Flower:  Unknown
Embossing:  Cuttlebug

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!

Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday everyone.  I am sharing with you the card I made for my sweet mother-in-law back in February.  If you have read my blog before when I've posted cards made for her, you know that she loves red and black.  So, of course, she almost always gets a card with red and black on it.  Here are the details of this card:

Size:  5" x 7"
Card stock:  American Crafts
Patterned papers:  Recollections
Flowers:  Marvy Uchida punch with glitter dots for the centers
Grass:  Fiskars border punch
Circle and Scalloped Circle:  Spellbinders Nestabilities
Label for sentiment:  Spellbinders
Bow:  Bow Easy with a rose from I Am Roses in the center

Thanks so much!

Just Because . . . I Miss You!

This is a simple card I made a month or so for someone I was missing!  I didn't know about the color combo at first, but then decided I liked it!  Hope you like it as well.  Here are the details:

Size:  4" x 5 1/2"
"Just Because:"  Cuttlebug embossing folder (I am so glad I purchased these many years ago.  They come in handy in a pinch, and are so easy!)
Flowers:  Punches for the leaves, flower, and center circle.  I also ran the flowers and centers through my Cuttlebug to emboss.
Cloud:  Fiskars punch
The wavy lines for the fields of grass were cut using my Creative Memories wavy cutter -- another oldie but goodie!

Thanks for looking.

If Dogs Go To Heaven

My neighbor just lost her sweet German Shepherd a month or so ago.  He showed up at her door as a puppy 13 years ago, and boy was he lucky!  No where could he have been loved more. Thus, his name became Lucky.  This is the card I made for her after his death.  Here are the details:

Size 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Card shape:  Folk Art Festival Cricut cartridge cut at 5 1/4".  The white layer was cut from that cartridge as well at 5"
Dog:  (I know it's not a German Shepherd, but it was the only dog I could find with pointed ears that looked similar)  Paper Pups Cricut cartridge cut at 3"
Halo:  Don Juan Cricut cartridge cut at 3/4"
Clouds:  Fiskars punch
Scalloped circle:  Spellbinders Nestabilities die
Flower:  Petaloo (my neighbor gave me these as a birthday gift.)
Sentiment:  Computer generated and cut using a Spellbinders tag die
The inside sentiment:  "(And I sure hope they do because heaven will be a much better place with them), I am sure that Lucky will be waiting for you at the pearly gates, doing figure eights."  (This is probably not exact, but it's close to the sentiment.  Lucky used to do figure eights in his lot several years ago.  For hours, he would go round and round.  It kept him slim and trim!)

Thanks for looking.

Older and Wiser?

Happy Friday to my blogging friends.  I am sharing with you today the birthday card I recently made and sent to my wonderful father-in-law.  He and I have always had a great relationship.  He's one of those people that you can't help but love!  Here are the details of the card:

Size:  A2
Card Stock:  Bazzill; Core'dinations
Embossing:  Cuttlebug
I used a 2 1/4" circle punch for the circle and used the negative cut.  I then cut the octagon by using the George Cricut cartridge cut at 2 1/2" using the silhouette function.  I placed it on pop-up dots over the circle cut out.
Owl and branch:  Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge (one of my favorites) cut at 2"
Stars:  Punch
Sentiment:  Computer generated
I also used a Fiskars upper crest border punch for the background behind the sentiment.
The inside sentiment said something to the effect of:  "Well, maybe just older.  Happy birthday!"

Hope you like it.  If you comment, please accept my gratitude!

I Only Have Eyes For You Valentine's Day Card

And this is my last Valentine's Day creation.  It is the card I plan to give to my hubby today.  I doubt that he will understand it.  I will have explain to him what it says.  I guess the hearts are confusing, but it needed something in the middle of the card!

Here are the details:

Size 5"x7"
Card Stock:  American Crafts; Bazzill
Patterned paper:  Recollections
Embossing:  Cuttlebug
Glasses:  Paisley Cricut cartridge cut at 2"
"I Only Have" -- Don Juan Cricut cartridge cut at 1 1/4"
"4 U" -- Don Juan Cricut cartridge cut at 1 1/2"
Hearts:  Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies

I hope you like it, and it gives you some kind of inspiration.  Thanks for taking the time to let me know you like my work.

I am entering this card at the Cricut Fanatics Crafting Blog.  It's a Valentine's Day challenge.  Check it out here.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day Gift Card Holders

As promised, I am sharing another Valentine's Day creation.  These are the simple gift card holders that I made for my daughters and their husbands.  I always give them a little something for Valentine's Day.  These are definitely not fancy, but I literally made them with just a few minutes of spare time.

Here are the details:

Card Stock:  Core'dinations and American Crafts
I used a Spellbinders label that I had cut and ended up not using.  I looked at it and wondered if it was big enough to put a gift card inside, and it sure was!  It's the largest of the Nestabilities for this label.  I folded it and scored it and then cut another label, cut that one in half (well, obviously a little less than half), and used it to glue on the bottom inside half to hold the gift card.  I used a circle punch to make a notch for the gift card to peek out.

On the outside, I used a scalloped circle punch and the Martha Stewart heart punch to add a little something and also added a computer generated sentiment and little punched hearts.  So simple.  But cute!

Hope you like them.  And thanks for taking the time to comment!
