So Blessed Layout

I decided that since my layout didn't sell on eBay in an 8 x 10 frame, maybe it will sell as a 12 x 12 layout. I really do like this layout. The pink/black are so much prettier in real life!

Hope you'll check it out, and send someone to eBay that doesn't like to scrapbook themselves! LOL.

Welcome to 50

I made this card for a co-worker who is turning 50 today. I decided not to give her too much grief over turning the big 5-0!

The 50 and the labels behind the 50 were cut from the Winter Woodlands Cricut cartridge.

He Will Wipe Every Tear From Their Eyes

I made this sympathy card for my former co-worker whose nephew passed away a couple of weeks ago. I know she is going through some tough days because she loved this little boy like a brother. She spent so much time with him, and was there until the end.

A New Angel Has Just Gotten His Wings

Remember the beagle card? Yep, the one I made for the little boy with neuroblastoma? This is the sympathy card I made for his parents. I hope somehow it helps to know that I care, although I've never even met them. (I did meet the little boy once, and he will always have a special place in my heart.) The sentiment on the inside of the card also said, "You have my sympathy and prayers as you grieve for your angel."

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

These cards were made for made for a wonderful friend I have on the west coast. She and I met through a scrapbooking message board, and we email each other daily. We've even talked on the phone several times. I hope that someday we can meet in person! Anyway, she and her daughter sent a huge box of clothing for my granddaughter (clothes her granddaughters have outgrown), and then she was nice enough to print invitations for my grandson's party and wouldn't let me pay her a dime. So, I wanted to make thank you cards for her and her daughter. This is what I came up with. The coffee pot card is for my friend, and the ice cream soda card is her daughter's card.

Fair Fun

We had a blast at the local fair this weekend. We met my daughter and her family there. We watched the Figure 8 races (sort of like a demolition derby), watched Ashlyn ride the kiddie rides, ate some great food (frozen chocolate covered cheesecake was my favorite), watched Isaiah be indifferent to it all, and found that I had won some blue ribbons for my layouts. Here are a few pictures of the fair fun!

My Scrap Pink Calendar

As I posted last week, the ladies at Pocket Full of Papers are doing a challenge this week, with a portion of our proceeds going to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
I decided to do this adorable 2010 chipboard desk calendar, complete with a little display holder and a beautiful album in which to store the pieces of chipboard for the calendar months.
Here are just a few of the pictures. Of course you can see everything on eBay! If you would like to bid for a great cause, I invite you to come on over to eBay and check out our listings!

TIA!

Prayers please . . .

This is a card I made for a former co-worker's nephew who has been fighting neuroblastoma for about 4 years. I met this special little boy one time. He loves beagles, and since I do too, I decided to make this card for him. I put on the inside of the card that I was sending hugs and Lexi (our beagle) was sending slobbery kisses. I printed a photo of Lexi and included it with the card. I mailed the card last Tuesday, the day he went into the hospital with a fever of 103. He's been struggling since, and I've learned today that he passed away early this morning. I feel so bad because I should have mailed his card sooner!

Please, please say a prayer for the Koontz family. My heart breaks for them.
