Happy Little Friday everyone! I heard someone call Thursday that, and I thought it was pretty appropriate. LOL. I am sharing today a birthday card made last month (yes, I am far behind) for a dear friend. She loves animals, and poodles are her favorite dog. When I saw this sentiment, I put a reminder on my calendar to use it on her birthday card. She, of course, thought it was cute! Here are the details:
Size: 5" x 5" (approx.)
Scalloped border: Spellbinders die
Open scalloped border: Border punch
Poodle: Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge cut at 3 1/2"
Label behind poodle: Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge cut at 4 1/2" (p. 67 of handbook)
Ribbon: Unknown
Flowers: I am Roses
Sentiment: Computer generated and punched
That's about it! Hope you like it. And thanks for your kind comments. Have a blessed, crafty day!

Wanna Bet?
Happy Monday to all. Today I am sharing my nephew's birthday card. He just turned 24 and loves to play poker. I really try to make cards that are in line with people's interests and likes. Since masculine cards are difficult for me to begin with, I was happy with how this one turned out. Here are the details:
Size: A2
Patterned Paper: Recollections
Card Stock: Bazzill and American Crafts
Scalloped Rectangle: Spellbinders Nestabilities
Poker Cards/Poker Chips: Father's Day Cricut Solutions Cartridge cut at 2 3/4"
Embossing: Cuttlebug
Border: Fiskars Border Punch
Stars: Punch
Sentiment: Computer generated and punched with Stampin' Up Word Window punch
Inside Sentiment: "We bet you have a great birthday."
That's about it! Hope you like it well enough to leave a comment.

A Late Graduation Card

Card Stock: American Crafts and Core'dinations
Outside scalloped border: Spellbinders die
Scalloped white border strip: Martha Stewart border punch
2012: Baby Face Cuttlebug font

Father's Day Cards
I apologize that I didn't get these posted before Father's Day. It was a crazy week last week and a crazy weekend. My daughter and son-in-law hosted a catfishing tournament in memory of his Dad who passed away last year on June 18th. They raised lots of money for local church building funds and a youth camp. So proud of them! Anyway, I helped my daughter bake 140 mini pies (tarts) on Friday, was at the lake all day on Saturday, and had our family here on Sunday.
These are the cards I made for my dad and father-in-law for Father's Day. Since this is a quick post, I won't put sizes or lots of information. But, if you need any of that info, just leave a comment, and I will go back and look it up and send it to you.
Thanks so much for looking. Have a blessed, crafty day!

My Guy
Happy Friday everyone! Since this Sunday is Father's Day here in the U.S., the gals at Stuck On U Sketches decided that it would be a good time to place a little emphasis on good old Dad. Thus, our die cut challenge this week is "All About Fathers!" Instead of showing you the cards I made for my dad and my father-in-law (those will come later), I am featuring my hubby's card. He is my Mr.-Fix-It for sure. He's a great handyman and can figure out how to fix most anything. And he's a great father. He loves our daughters and grandchildren so much. What a blessing. Come join us in the challenge!
Here are the details of the card:
Size: A2
Card Stock: Recollections, Bazzill, Core'dinations, Die Cuts With A View
I made the wrench, which was patterned after a few punch art cards I found on Pinterest, using three punches: Word Window Stampin' Up and a circle punch for one end, and a scalloped circle and circle punch for the other end.
I embossed the shimmery DCWV paper with a manly Cuttlebug embossing folder.
I added a circle shaped Nestabilities die and added a scalloped octagon shaped Nestabilities die behind it.
On top of that, I cut the phrase "My Guy" using the Father's Day Cricut solutions cartridge (cut at 2 1/2").
I then added some punched stars and my computer generated sentiment, which was cut using a Spellbinders tag die and used with a simple piece of black satin ribbon.
I think that's about it!
I hope you are inspired. Thanks for your kind words. Have a blessed, crafty day!

Thinking of You Card
First of all, I was so excited earlier this week when I clicked on my blog, and I FINALLY had 300 followers. It seems as if I went from 50 to 250 pretty quickly, but it was very slow going from 250 to 300. I appreciate everyone who visits here, and especially those who comment, since we all know how much work it is to maintain a blog. I never dreamed when I started this blog that I'd ever get to 300 followers! Thanks for being a little part of my blogging life!
And now, the real reason for this post: A co-worker had to have some minor surgery last week, and ended up being out of work this entire week. This is the "thinking of you" card I made for her. Here are the details:
Size: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Card Stock: Recollections and Core'dinations
Patterned papers: My Mind's Eye
Scalloped Lacy Circles: Spellbinders Nestabilities
Bird: Stampin' Up Punch
Leaves: Martha Stewart punch
"Thinking of": Computer generated and punched using 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches and a 1 1/2" scalloped circle punch
"U": Martha Stewart Birthday Cake Art Cricut cartridge cut at 1 1/2"
Scalloped Circle Behind "U": Mini Monograms Cricut Cartridge cut at 2". I embossed the top layer using my Cuttlebug
Fancy Corners: Cuttlebug dies
I am entering this for the sketch challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas.

50 and Fabulous!
Happy Monday everyone. Today I am sharing my sister-in-law's birthday card. It's hard to believe she is 50! I can remember when she was 17! I really love doing shaped cards, so I decided a flower pot would be pretty for her birthday. Here are the details:
Card Shape: Bloom Cricut Lite Cartridge cut at 6". I made one regular cut and one using the "flip" feature and scored the back cut at the top (on the handle of the pot) and glued them together to make a card.
Flowers: They are part of the flower pot, but I chose to cut an extra layer of the flowers/leaves so that I could have three colors. I cut off the part I didn't want to show. I added two layers of little punched circles and some gems as well for the centers of the flowers. Then I outlined everything with a little glitter glue for an added touch. The flowers and pot were all embossed using my Cuttlebug.
Sentiment: Computer generated and punched using 1" and 1 1/4" circles, and a 1 1/2" scalloped circle.
I am submitting this to the "May Flowers" challenge over at Cooking With Cricut.
Thanks for taking a look, and of course, thanks for leaving a comment! Have a blessed, crafty day!
