Sweet Birthday

I keep getting further and further behind in my scrapping! This layout is from my oldest daughter's 27th birthday in 2008. And now with Isaiah here, I need to get busy! LOL.

I chose the bright colored papers for this layout to match her cake.

Welcome Baby Isaiah!

Welcome to the world my new grandson, Isaiah. What a blessing from heaven. He was born on August 14th at 7:24 a.m. He looks just like his big sister did when she was born. I am so excited to get him here finally. And a special blessing was that he was born on my late grandmother's birthday. Now I have a new subject for my scrapbooks! Here are a few pictures of my Sweet Pea!

I made this card for a co-worker who recently left to take another job. He gives great hugs, and is sweet enough to pop in here every so often to look at my work. I will miss him lots and wish him the very best!

It's Your Day Purse Card

I made this card for one of my best friends who celebrated her birthday on Friday. It didn't turn out exactly like I hoped because the ribbon won't lay flat against the card due to its shape, but I'll do it differently the next time! The card is from . . . you guessed it -- A Child's Year Cricut cartridge! I made the handle by cutting a zero in half!

Welcome Isaiah!

I made this card to give my daughter at her baby shower. What I wrote on the inside is for my grandson who will be born soon. I know he won't be able to read it for a long time, but hopefully my daughter will save it for him, and maybe even read it to him.

I am in love with A Child's Year Cricut cartridge -- it's too cool!

Flower Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

I am loving this new Cricut cartridge -- A Child's Year. There are so many cool things on it. The tag behind the title on this was cut from there, as well as the title.

This layout was of Ashlyn when she was in my husband's niece's wedding last year. After the wedding, she was having a blast! Hence, the title for this page!

Baseball Birthday Card

I made this card in a hurry this week for my brother-in-law. He loves baseball, and although this image isn't necessary baseball (it's a father/son image), I thought I could get by with it. The image if from the new A Child's Year Cricut cartridge. I hope he liked it.

To Have & To Hold

I made this page to remember my husband's niece's wedding. Her colors were pink, red and black, which are some of my favorite color combos, so I really like how this turned out. Thanks to my neighbor, Susan, for the awesome idea of using the scalloped octagon Nestabilities die with the circle behind it! I love how this looks!

A Special Visit

This layout was done for the last visit with my grandma before she passed away. I haven't said anything in my journaling about that, since these pictures were taken Christmas 2007, and she didn't pass away until 2008. I am doing my scrapbooking chronologically, so I have saved a picture to do a tribute page for her in my book around the time she died. I suppose the title means to me that it was a special visit, since it was the last time I got to see her.

The Gift of Love

This layout was so fun to make. I don't do one page layouts with one picture very often. I almost used this picture from Christmas 2007 on another layout I was doing of my husband's family Christmas, but decided I wanted to use this picture of my in-laws to do a little tribute page for them. They are wonderful to me, and I love them dearly. There is journaling behind the photo (you can see the word Pull at the top of the picture frame).

Dad -- You're How Old?

This is the card I made for my Dad's birthday this week. I found these new embossing folders made by Sizzix and really like them. The only problem is that the words are close to the fold in the folder, so it makes it hard to cut them out in a shape other than a rectangle. Hope you like it.

It's Cool To Be 16

I made this card for my nephew, who is turning 16 this week. When he was born, I nicknamed him Spud. I only called him that when he was a baby, but I still think of him fondly as Spud. In his card, I wrote, "You used to be a little Spud, but now you're a big Tater." I'm sure he's going to think I'm so old and corny!
