Flowers Everywhere

Some of my visitors may remember my post last year about the young woman at our church who died in a tragic, senseless act.  You can read about it here.  I made a card then for the girl's parents.  I haven't seen her Mom at church in a while, and I have heard that she is really having a tough time, which of course is to be expected.  I am worried about her, so I decided to make a card to let her know she's been on my mind lately.  If you are a praying person, please say a  prayer for Lisa.

Also, I wanted to add that if any of you think your cards are not appreciated, they are -- well, usually.  I sent a card last week to a friend who was diagnosed with cancer before Christmas (see this post).  I had not seen her since September, and I got a call from her on Friday.  She said the card meant the world to her.  It made my day that I was able to make her day.  Keep on making those cards!

When I saw The Pink Elephant's pink, orange and aqua color challenge, I really wanted to try it.  I love these colors together!  You can find the challenge here.

I also am entering it into the flower challenge at the 2 Sisters Challenge blog.  You can find the challenge here.  I love flowers!

Here is how the card was made:

Size:  A2
Cardstock:  Recollections; DCWV
Patterned Papers:  Possibly My Mind's Eye?  (They were in my scraps.)
Embossing:  Cuttlebug
Flowers:  McGill, Paper Shapers and EK Success Punches
Scalloped circle:  Nestabilities (I offset this and cut the edge off)
Circle:  George Cricut cartridge cut at 3 1/4"  (I think)
Sentiment:  Computer generated and punched
Stickles used on the flowers and around the sentiment
Gems:  Dress It Up glitter dots
Ribbon:  Satin (manufacturer unknown)

Thanks for looking, and for your comments.
