Happy Birthday Jane

I hope each of you have enjoyed your Labor Day holiday in some way.  We were blessed to get to go to the beach for the weekend, which was wonderful!  And now I get to share with you a birthday card made for a long distance friend.  Here are the details:

Size:  A2
Patterned papers:  DCWV
Card Stock:  American Crafts; Bazzill
Balloons:  Cricut Create-A-Critter cartridge cut at 2 1/4" and 3".  I used the negatives from the cuts and added that layer to the card with pop up dots.  I placed the blue paper so that it would be the strings for the balloons.
Stars:  Punch
Sentiment:  I used Word Art in Microsoft Word to create the sentiment.  I punched it with a 1" punch, added a 1 1/4" circle punch behind that and then added a 2" scalloped circle punch.
I also used a Fiskars Apron Lace border punch at the top.

Thanks for your kind words as always.

  2. I love this card. I hope you don't mind if I make one for myself. The colors are so bright and I really like how you used the negative space. That seems to be the latest thing and I love it!

  5. I keep looking at this wondering how you did the paper for the balloons, was it just one piece of paper behind the negative spaces? So so cute.. and of course i want to try to make one, if i can figure it out... thanks for always sharing your amazing talent.. hugs
