Thanks to those who commented on my last post and thanks most of all for your prayers. As promised, I have a card to share with you today. This one is the first of several that I will be sharing over the next few days hopefully. This one was made for my sister-in-law who celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. This card really was thrown together quickly, but I liked the end result. Here's how it was made:
Size A2 -- I started with an A2 card and decided to use an EKSuccess border punch on the right side. Then I added an A2 scalloped rectangle card front (purchased in a package with envelopes and made by DCWV) to the back of the entire card. I really don't think you can see how pretty this looked from this picture, since I had to place the entire card in a stand so it would stay closed for the photo. I then used another of the card fronts and cut it down so that the scalloped edge shows on the right side of the card.
Flowers -- They were by taking some gorgeous black and white paper with flower designs and using a Martha Stewart punch to punch the flowers out of the paper. I then used a scalloped circle punch to make the white backgrounds. I made the stems with a Martha Stewart leaf punch. I glued two together (cutting the top off the second one) for the longer stem. I added gems to the center of the flowers.
The bottom border is another EK Success border punch, with a little Stickles added.
I used a Martha Stewart double edge border punch across the top of the card and added my computer generated sentiment, which was punched with a scalloped square punch. I added another scalloped square (punched as well) behind the sentiment. Then I used Beads in a Bottle to add the four corner gems.
Hope you like it and thanks for your comments.
