Ring around the Middle

I woke up early this morning and decided I really needed to make this card.  I had the tree already cut, so in order to save time, I wanted to make a card around the tree!  The recipient's last name is Warden, and he is a supervisor, so I thought I would use the play on his name and insinuate that he is a warden.  Thus, "The Warden's another year older!"  LOL.  They say you can tell the age of a tree because of the number of its rings.  The inside of this card says, "Good thing you're not a tree, or you'd have another ring around your middle!"  Cheesy for sure, but it works.  This card took 30 minutes or so to make, which is pretty good for me!

Size:  A2
Cardstock:  Bazzill, Bazzill Bling and Recollections
Patterned papers:  Unknown (from my scraps)
Embossing:  Cuttlebug
Tree:  Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge (cut at 3")
Circle:  George Cricut cartridge  (cut at 3")
Oval:  Punch
Label behind oval:  Nestabilities
Loopy border:  Bazzill Just the Edge

Thanks for looking!

  1. I don't think it's cheesy, I love it. You are such an inspiration. I hope you don't mind, I remember you made that Paw Prints card awhile back.. and I have a friend from Bible study who's husband is blind and they just had to put down his guide dog.. I was hoping to try to re-create your Paw prints... would you mind? I would of course give you the credit. hugs Sandy
