This qualifies for the "Winter Wonderland" challenge at the Pink Elephant challenge blog. I'm thrilled to be able to join in this challenge!
Here are the details:
Charger -- $1.99 at Anna's Linens
"Merry Christmas" -- Alphalicious Cricut cartridge cut at 1 1/2"
Snowflakes -- Martha Stewart punch with some gems from my stash added to the middle
Circle background -- George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge cut at 8 1/2" (real dial size) (I think the paper is My Mind's Eye, but I'm not positive)
House -- Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite cartridge cut at 5 1/2" (embossed paper is Core'dinations cardstock)
Trees -- Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite cartridge cut at 4 1/4"
Star -- Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge cut at 2 1/4"
Shrubs: Scalloped Oval punch embossed and cut to fit under the windows
I added Stickles for a little definition. Liquid Applique would have been great on those snow cuts as well though.
One thing I plan to add is a little dog in the side yard in front of the tree. I was too lazy to wait until I get that done and take more pictures though.
I hope you like it and that you are inspired to try this! If you do, please be sure to let me know.
Thanks for looking, and for your comments.

And a close-up of the details (pardon the shadows):
Tammy this is just so cute.. not quite sure what a charger is.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely adorable. I love all the little details you put into it - even the little footprints!! I had no idea what a charger was either!!! I googled it, Sandy - A decorative charger plate is an elegant and underused element of a place setting. Also known as a chop plate, service plate, or underplate, a charger plate gets its "decorative" label because it never directly touches any food; instead it functions as an aesthetic resting place onto which food-bearing dishes and bowls are placed. So, Tammy will you use this how it's intended or will you display it??? I love it :) TFS
ReplyDeleteTammy, this is adorable ... for the record, I am in the "know" crowd and have lots of chargers of my own! This is just cute as a button and I love your idea of one for every holiday/season. The dog addition will be cute too!
ReplyDeleteTammy this is fantastic! I love all of the details and the dimension! AWESOME!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, I am very much NOT from the south, and i actually know what a charger is! I think this will make a great display piece!
