I made this card for a high school friend. I just found out that she is battling stomach cancer. When we were in our late 20s, she and her husband lived in the city where we now live. I called her and told her that we were thinking about moving here, and she was kind enough to mail to me the classified ads from the Sunday newspaper. My husband got his first job here from that paper. I am so thankful to her because 22 years later, we are still living here and happy! She and her husband moved back to our hometown about a year after we moved here. Anyway, after she was so kind to me 22 years ago, I wanted her to know I'm thinking about her and praying for her healing now!
The inside of the card says:
We pray that your faith grows day by day and week by week. May God continue to bless you and heal you.
I also added the following quote on the inside of the card: "Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier. Author: Unknown"
I made this card from the current sketch over at "cardabilities." You can find it here. What a great site. I look forward to seeing the sketches twice per month!
The circle, scalloped circle, and marquee shapes were all cut from the Storybook Cricut cartridge. I used a Prima flower and a Martha Stewart border punch, a little blue ribbon, a couple of "skittles" as they were called when they came out, and it was done!
I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I am sure she will treasure your card. I love the quote.
