You Have Great Style and Form

To all of my visitors from the United States, I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving.  I, of course, ate way too much, but it could have been worse.  And I thoroughly enjoyed having our family here.  My daughters and I did some shopping, which was so fun.  I didn't really care if I bought anything.  Just spending time with them was all that mattered.

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a co-worker.  She is about 8 months younger than me, and she thoroughly enjoys reminding me that I am older than her.  So, I decided to surprise her with this fun card.  It looks so sweet on the outside, doesn't it?  Inside, it said, "For an old woman."  LOL.  She was a little taken aback when she first opened it, but she knew it was all in fun.

They Say It's Your Birthday

This was my brother-in-law's birthday card.  I loved the idea of this card when I saw something similar on Pinterest, but I ended up not being thrilled with the end result.    But, it was still fun to make.  Every time I see this card, I start singing the old Beatles song!   Here are the details:

Size:  A2

Patterned music paper:  Unknown

Card Stock:  Core'Dinations

I cut the stars out of the brown card stock using the George cartridge and the shadow feature at 2 1/2" and 2".  I then embossed the brown card stock with my Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder and cut the front of it down to fit on my card.

I then cut the red stars using the George cartridge, again at 2 1/2" and 2" but without the shadow feature so that they fit into the negative spots left from the shadowed stars.

I failed to write down the cartridge that I used for the musical notes.  I am sorry!  I thought they were Cuttlebug dies, but I checked, and I only have one size of those.

The sentiment was computer generated and then punched.

There Will Be Weeping For A Season Sympathy Card

Good morning everyone.  I am sharing today a card I made for friends at church a month or so ago when the husband lost his father.  Here are the details:

Size:  4" x 5 1/2"
Patterned papers:  Recollections (I then embossed it -- not easy to see in the photo)
Card Stock:  Recollections and American Crafts
Tree:  Bloom Lite Cricut Cartridge cut at 3 1/2"
Ribbon:  Satin from my stash
I used my Creative Memories wavy cutter to cut the black "ground" at the bottom of the tree in different layers.
Sentiment:  Computer generated and punched using the Stampin' Up Word Window punch
Here is the inside sentiment:  Although there will be weeping for a time, just like the tree that has lost its leaves, a new season will come, and there will be life abundantly once again.  May you feel the love of others, and especially, the love of our Lord and Savior as you grieve.

Hold Onto Your Hat!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's election day here in the U.S.  I voted early and will be happy to have an end to the commercials and phone calls!!!  LOL.  I am sharing with you today a birthday card made for a co-worker.  She is starting her life over as a single lady, so hopefully this year will bring lots of great things for her.  That is why I used the sentiment;  "Hold Onto Your Hat!"  I thought it was very appropriate for this die cut.  Also, she loves pink and green, so I decided to make her card a little bright.

Silhouette Lady:  Suburbia Cricut Cartridge cut at 3"
Label behind Lady:  Elegant Edges cut at 3 3/4"; I cut it using the frame feature and then ran the green insert through my Cuttlebug to emboss it.
Sentiment:  Computer generated and punched using the Stampin' Up Word Window punch
White spiral strip:  Bazzill Just The Edge
Flowers:  Prima (Old, old, old -- from my stash - the brad is old too!)
Pearls:  Unknown
